Grants in recent years have assisted the following areas of need:
1. Food and Relief Support Services
Yarra Street Pastors Inc for their emergency relief work which responds to the challenges of urban nightlife hot spots in the inner Melbourne suburbs, especially in Richmond.
Stable One for their winter overnight shelters pilot project using church buildings for crisis accomodation and for the homeless.
The Dining Room Mission Inc for its local community kitchen and relief work in the Melbourne suburb of Croydon.
Baw Baw Combined Churches Food Relief Ministry for their work in meeting crisis needs through an emergency relief centre in the Warragul and Drouin areas of the Baw Baw Shire.
Hotham Mission for its"Food for Thought" provision of food bags to needy families in inner North-West Melbourne, distributed through schools and community youth organisations.
Asylum Seekers to provide care, support, and aid for asylum seekers.
2. Chaplaincy and Allied Programs Support
Access Ministries for their Deaf Chaplaincy Program which seeks to provide pastoral care to profoundly deaf secondary school students.
The Prahran Mission for its chaplaincy program which seeks to provide social inclusion through a range of activities for those with severe and enduring mental illness.
Bicycles Over Lunchtime (BOLT) early intervention programme as a pilot programme for girls and for its Girl Zone program which provides opportunities for girls aged 9 to 12 to build confidence, self esteem and social skills through various group activities, and to develop life and leadership skills.
Sports Chaplaincy Australia (SCA) for their ClubCare Access program, which provides critical incident care to local sporting clubs in times of crisis and is working to develop a sustainable model for delivering sports chaplains to every Australian sporting club.
Prison Fellowship for their ministry to prisoners.
3. Aged Care Services
Kirkbrae Presbyterian Homes to assist with the residents’ various environmental, transport and communication needs within their residential complex.

4. Community Support Services for those with Special Needs
The Voices Vic peer support program which assists those with severe mental illness, particularly those who hear voices; and to assist in the establishment of a regional Victorian Hearing Voices Network (HVN).
Uniting Care Bendigo for its emergency relief frontline assistance and for its program to assist clients (particularly those with a range of mental health ailments) to overcome their social isolation by helping them to identify ways they can improve their life choices and skills.
Wesley Mission Victoria for the creation of a sensory garden to provide environmental support for those with neurological disease and acquired brain injuries.
Lifeline for capacity building to support people in crisis and at risk.
Through these grants we seek to further the great trio of Christian virtues - Faith, Hope and Love. It is worthwhile reflecting on the detail shown on the right in a memorial window in the Chapel of the former St Andrew’s Hospital building in East Melbourne.
